JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a rapidly growing, Boston-based medical technology company using AI to help physicians predict and prevent heart attacks and strokes. Elucid's software is the first FDA cleared and CE marked non-invasive software used to characterize heart disease. The unique information provided by our software informs better treatment decisions by physicians leading to better patient outcomes, improved quality of care, and reduced healthcare costs. Join the Elucid team and you will be part of a team that is making a notable impact on advancements in cardiac prevention! Elucid is currently developing a zero-footprint client server medical imaging analysis and visualization software, using the Angular framework on the client and dJango as the webserver. In this role, the engineer will be working within the client team taking a lead role on complex features and providing meaningful feedback during the software development lifecycle.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Pair program with team members, sharing your expertise and experience with the team 
  • Provide feedback on pull requests, encouraging best practices 
  • Work with members of the backend team to help define API contracts 
  • Help debug client-server issues, checking data at API and Database layers 

Education and Experience:

  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and RXJS 
  • Experience with modern Front-End frameworks. We use Angular, but experience with React or Vue with TypeScript is just as relevant 
  • Comfort with Linux and working within the terminal. The engineering team uses Ubuntu as their daily driver 
  • Ability to clearly communicate 
  • Work with a team first mentality 
  • Experience working with WebSockets and RESTful APIs 
  • A working knowledge of SQL 
  • Experience with micro front ends a plus 
  • Experience with VTK.js is a plus 
  • Experience with python is a plus 

Your first six weeks will be spent onboarding, learning the terminology around coronary CT, and working on issues specifically set aside for you to interact with some of the core parts of the code base. Weeks six through twelve will be spent working independently within the team structure.  

Elucid is a hybrid workplace with a strong preference for candidates to be in the greater Boston area. Boston-based employees are expected to be in the office on Monday and Wednesday unless other arrangements are agreed upon. The office is open 5 days a week for those who prefer to be in person.
