We are looking to hire a data scientist to evaluate and implement the capture of unstructured handwriting and printed text.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, implement, and evaluate multiple data capture software options on handwriting and print documents
• Investigate natural language processing and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) methods

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, etc.)
• Experience in Data Capture is a plus
• At least 2-3 years' of experience in quantitative analytics or data modeling
• Fluency in a programming language (Python, SQL, etc)
• Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and visualization tools
